sitEX Powerhouse

The sitEX Powerhouse office and commercial building was acquired by sitEX in 2012. It has a useable area of 44,615 m² office and commercial, warehouse/storage areas, making it one of the largest privately owned and managed properties in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. sitEX employs an own team on site, dedicated to managing and cleaning the building, serving the tenants and maintaining and repairing the numerous technical installations. The canton of Basel-Landschaft and the municipality of Muttenz have been pursuing urban development goals for the Kriegacker (Polyfeld) area to improve it economically, ecologically and functionally. The sitEX Powerhouse boasts modern infrastructure and meets the requirements of both current and new tenants.

This property has been wholly owned by sitEX since 2015. From 2012 to 2015, sitEX held 51% of the sister company Lagonda Invest AG. The building was acquired with a vacancy rate of 50%, and has improved the occupancy to 97% as of August 2022 thanks to a targeted strategy and the excellent network of the involved parties. The 5th floor underwent a major renovation in 2019/20 (more information: sitEX Coworking Concepts). The newly renovated space caters to todays needs for dynamic and flexible workspaces, with an Innovation Lab to attract businesses in the Life Science sector. The building offers a complete range of services under one roof. After a gym from the well-known “Update Fitness” chain opened in 2020, in-house childcare centre KITA operates on the ground floor in cooperation with the renowned KIMI Krippen AG company. In 2023, the property will be connected to district cooling. This will provide tenants an economically and ecologically much more attractive alternative to the cooling machines, which have now reached the end of their useful life.
